Medical Research Initiatives (MRI) is a dedicated multidisciplinary clinical research site that specializes in phase II-IV studies. We have offices in Virginia Beach and Richmond Virginia. Our areas of interest include: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, and Cardiology. MRI collaborates with the pharmaceutical companies to provide high quality clinical research studies. MRI has strong affiliations with Virginia Commonwealth Universities, Vernon J Harris Community Health Center, Doctors on Call, and several local community physician offices.

Investigator Experience

Imo Aisiku, MD, MSCR

Dr. Aisiku received his medical education at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Aisiku is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Aisiku is also formally trained and has a degree in clinical research from Emory University. He is currently an Assistant Professor for the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia/Critical Care at Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves as the director of resident research in addition of his clinical and research activities.

MRI has a strong team of established research investigators with over 50 years of clinical research experience.
